Public Pressure partners with Moonsama for $2m music and gamic NFT campaign
Public Pressure Teams Up with Acclaimed Italian DJ Duo Merk & Kremont for Successful Debut Drop
London, December 2022 — Web3 music specialist Public Pressure, which officially launched in August, has announced that its first official NFT project, a ground-breaking partnership with Moonsama, sold out within days generating a $2m revenue.
Acclaimed Italian DJ duo Merk & Kremont, from Universal teamed up with Public Pressure to create the PODs NFT containing songs that users can use inside the Web3 gaming platform. Once equipped, each song unlocks special in-game features or “power-ups” for example; immortality, speed, resources, slowing down opponents or invisibility. Users are then able to equip their character with the PODs, which will allow the playing of the purchased songs within the game.
Moonsama is the biggest community within the Polkadot blockchain ecosystem and allows players to purchase in-platform NFTs as utilities. This significant new partnership, which is the brainchild of Public Pressure’s President Sergio Mottola, and Moonsama’s Founder Donnie, has introduced music as a gaming utility for the first time inside the Moonsama metaverse.
The PODs NFT collection, which comprised 3,333 limited edition NFTs, sold for a fixed price of $600 each and contained unreleased music tracks by DJ duo Merk & Kremont. The debut drop sold out within days generating a $2m revenue.
Public Pressure is built on Polkadot, which is the brainchild of Ethereum founder and Public Pressure investor, Gavin Wood. Polkadot has the lowest total electricity consumption and carbon emissions per year of the six proof-of-stake (POS) blockchains and has been designed to support the transition of music to Web3. It aims to empower the artist/fan relationship while creating new revenue streams for creators and the wider music industry.
